Crooked Gaff Kitchen

What a gem of a discovery Gitiim and I happened upon late Saturday night, tired and hungry! Crooked Gaff Kitchen & Oyster Bar, in Whittier, CA, serves food so outstanding, and presented so beautifully, we dined there twice during our 6 day visit to Southern CA. And the main draw is their bar! Frequented primarily by Whittier locals, the lackluster, one level, elongated, grey shoe-box type structure, with plain cut-out windows so high, one can barely see the activity inside, from the street. But once we climbed the few steps, and opened that door, it was quite lively inside, with music playing, and conversations taking place all around us—at the big family table in the corner, opposite us, and up front, in the more populated, brightly lit bar area.
